If you lose to a fight in the pit, “try again” changes the enemy lineup iirc. For example, if you lose to a group of dark bristles or elite wizzerds, trying again could make the fight easier, with less of them. Dark bristles are ground enemies that can be flipped over, but immune to most statuses. Flipping them seems to break their defense, so you can jump to kill them if you have a spike shield. Elite wizzerds are air enemies, which can’t be flipped over, but also seemingly not immune to the fire status.

One of the tiny changes I noticed is that in the original GC version the sfx badge you use against Hooktail makes your attacks sound like a cricket while in the remake it replaces them with frog sounds
